Ferry Building
Built in 1898, the Ferry Building has long been a symbol of San Francisco’s historic waterfront. In 1998, a public/private redevelopment partnership was formed to rehabilitate the space, and »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵ was chosen as the general contractor. The extensive renovation of the historic structure included the removal of portions of the original second floor structure and all of the modern-era third floor structure in the nave space to create a dramatic, three-story atrium along the entire length of the building.
In 2003, the project was completed and the Ferry Building returned as a bustling destination for San Francisco residents and visitors. The vibrant interior marketplace attracts over one million visitors annually, and the second and third floor offices are 100% leased to premier tenants.
